Summary
The Arts in Didactics Model Development and Dissemination (AEMDD) program supports the enhancement, expansion, documentation, evaluation, and dissemination of innovative, cohesive models that are based on research and have demonstrated that they effectively:
- Integrate standards-based arts education into the cadre elementary and middle school curriculum;
- strengthen standards-based arts instruction in these grades; and
- amend students' academic performance, including their skills in creating, performing, and responding to the arts.
Projects funded through the AEMDD program are intended to increment the amount of nationally available data on constructive models for arts instruction that integrate the arts with standards-based pedagogy programs
In club to accomplish the above goals, an applicant must demonstrate that the model projection for which it seeks funding serves only elementary schoolhouse or middle school grades, or both, and is linked to State and national standards intended to enable all students to come across challenging expectations and to improve educatee and school performance.

Eligibility Details
Eligible applicants are:
- Ane or more than local educational agencies (LEAs), including lease schools that are considered LEAs under State law and regulations, that may work in partnership with one or more of the following: (a) A State or local non-profit or governmental arts system, (b) A State educational bureau (Bounding main) or regional educational service agency, (c) An institution of college education, (d) A public or individual bureau, institution, or organization, such as a customs- or faith-based arrangement; or,
- One or more than Land or local nonprofit or governmental arts organizations that must work in partnership with 1 or more LEAs and may partner with one or more of the following: (a) An SEA or regional educational service agency, (b) An establishment of higher educational activity, and (c) A public or private agency, institution, or organization, such equally a community- or faith-based organisation.
Borderline Details
The deadline to submit a letter of intent was March 27, 2014. The deadline to submit an application was April 28, 2014. Similar deadlines are anticipated triennially.
The FY18 awarding window is anticipated to be from April 6 until June 4, 2018. Please check the department website often for updates.
Award Details
The estimated funds available are $ii,047,326. The estimated range of awards is $275,000 to $325,000. Six awards are predictable. Cost sharing is not required.
The FY18 contest is anticipated to make 20 to 25 awards at $500,000 each.
